Almost Heaven Saunas has a large presence in Europe, both on the continent and in the UK. Traditional steam saunas are very popular in Europe, and as such the consumers who purchase saunas are very discerning when it comes to purchasing a sauna kit.
Because of the exceptional quality of our saunas, as well as the performance of our cooperage-style saunas, it is little wonder that our saunas are so popular overseas. We sell many containers of saunas in the European market each year and are featured in numerous consumer exhibitions across the continent.
Almost Heaven Saunas is proud to be a U.S. manufacturer of traditional wet saunas and dry saunas with such a strong following throughout the world. If you are outside of the U.S. and wish to purchase an Almost Heaven Sauna, visit our web site to find the international distributor in your region.

At Almost Heaven Saunas, we have access to nearly every brand of sauna component available. We stock and install what we consider the best components and materials in our sauna kits, but in some cases people have an existing sauna that needs parts.
We can obtain most any brand and part available, and in most cases we can beat the price you see advertised on the internet! Call or email us and let us know what you’re looking for… we’d love to help! 888-355-3050

Having over thirty years worth of Almost Heaven Saunas in the field, we get our share of requests for replacement components and parts. We often sell accessories as after-market items, but we also sell entire sauna components for any of our sauna models. For example, we just received a request from someone who needed two new end sections for a Barrel Sauna; apparently when transporting the disassembled sauna, the box containing the original ends was lost or damaged. Another example is people who move their saunas, either to a different location at their home, or to a new home altogether. We often sell replacement stave boards or wall sections to people who have damaged existing boards or simply wish to spruce up the look of the sauna. On ocassion we have customers who break their glass doors or simply wish to switch to a wooden door.
Whatever the component and whatever the reason, Almost Heaven Saunas is happy to provide replacement parts for our saunas regardless of when they were purchased! Call 888.355.3050 if you have questions regarding replacement parts!

To our customers in the UK… we are setting up at the annual trade show in Brighton, England tomorrow, February 4. We share booth space with our European partners and this year we will have more Almost Heaven Sauna products on display than ever before! Our UK saunas are branded under the name “Passion Saunas,” and several of our models will be on display, including the brand new Ellipse Barrel Sauna. We will give periodic updates of what we observe at the show in the coming days, recognizing that our state-side friends may not be that interested in an event that takes place across the pond! Cheers!

I received a call over the weekend from someone comparing barrel saunas that were being offered online. The specific question was, “The online brand looks very dark; could it have been stained?” I then proceeded to go online and review it as well as various other barrels being offered at a variety of price points. Bottom line; as with all product comparisions, be sure it is an “apples to apples” comparision. In this particular case, it is clear from the picture and text that the sauna was not manufactured of clear Canadian western red cedar. In fact, I suspect it wasn’t red cedar at all but likely white cedar or some other light, soft wood. Reason? Because the wood clearly had many knots in it and the varying colors of the stain reveal wood that had various degrees of finish and texture, causing the stain to absorb differently in various areas on the finished product.
Additionally, the perimeter of the barrel was “chunky,” and by that I mean there was not a nice flow to the wood. This is due to the use of 2×6 rather than 2×4 staves and the fact that the ball/socket profiles were not precise and clean. The cradle supporting the sauna was built of 2×4 lumber and did not have a finished look to it. These are all observations that were obtained from pictures on a website, so I can only imagine how the finished product looked close up.
In short, you get what you pay for, even in saunas. The pictures you see of the Almost Heaven Sauna models are exactly what you get, and the quality is evident, even from a photo. Don’t be fooled by lesser imitations; Almost Heaven Saunas has been the leader in cooperage style sauans for over thirty years, and our reputation speaks for itself!

Be believe that Almost Heaven Saunas are the highest quality saunas in the world, and we back this claim with an unprecidented 25-year limited warranty on our sauna rooms. You can rest assured that you are buying the best sauna on the market today from a company that stands behind its products. Did you know that Almost Heaven Saunas has been quietly building our cooperage style steam saunas in the mountains of West Virginia for over thirty years? Few companies, let alone sauna manufacturers, can make that claim. I find it comical that manufacturers of some saunas offer a “lifetime” warranty when they havn’t been in business for more than a few years. Additionally, some of these same companies are importing saunas from China and offering warranties on products made by a company they have never seen. At Almost Heaven Saunas we back our products with a solid warranty, excellent reputation and genuine longevity

We promote Almost Heaven Saunas as being built in the “cooperage” tradition, but what exactly does “cooperage” mean? Dictionary.com defines “cooperage” as “large, bulging cylindrical container of sturdy construction traditionally made from wooden staves and wooden or metal hoops.” While Cooperage Construction is generally associated with the building of whiskey barrels or pickle vats, the process is the same as with Almost Heaven Saunas. Our saunas are built in the cooperage tradition, meaning that they are build of wooden staves that are drawn tightly together with metal hoops. In the case of Almost Heaven Saunas, we use solid red cedar staves and highly polished stainless steel hoops, and while the finished product is a high-quality, furniture-grade barrel, the process is the same. There is much more in the way of craftsmanship that goes into the building of an Almost Heaven Sauna, but we’ll leave that discussion to another blog entry! Suffice it to say that no other manufacturer in the industry builds true, cooperage-style saunas with the level of precision and detail as does Almost Heaven Saunas!
