The Brighton show is finished and I am comfortably back in my office reflecting on events from the past week. There are several observations that can be made about the Brighton trade show and the position of saunas in the UK and European markets.
One observation is that the folks in the European marketplace prefer their saunas big and beautiful. While all of our saunas received attention (they were unquestionably one of the highlight products at the show) the Ellipse Barrel Sauna in particular was of great interest to the customers. The large size and extra amenitites make it the sauna of choice, and this was evident in the people inspecting this beautiful product.
Another observation I could make is that the dealer market in the UK, just as the US dealer base, is looking for new and exciting products to offer their customers. Saunass are a natural product for spa and pool dealers to offer, and dealers worldwide recognize the complimentary nature of these products.
Finally, it is very evident that people all over, whether dealers or consumers, always recognize quality and craftsmanship when they see it. There are many saunas on the market today, but only one embodies the traditional, hand-crafted, authentic sauna experience, and that is an Almost Heaven Sauna. We were honored to be a part of this exciting show and look forward to growing our presence in the UK and European markets in 2010!
